Chapter 8
A boy engulfed in rage sacrificed his very soul to
avenge to one he loved. The two sinners that set in motion his massacre on the
innocent waited for him in Hell. Those in the hooded cloaks that acted as an
obstacle, cutting short the time he had to enact his revenge, waited for him.
As Felix wished he did not see Rose in the afterlife, it was his only pleasure
knowing that she could rest and finally be at peace. The Devil himself did not
find it necessary to punish and torment many of the souls sent his way that
day, for that was reserved for Felix. He would torture them, in his wait for
Michael of Hope to die. Maybe that was Felix’s one and only punishment, having
to wait, but when the time came, even if was an eternity away, his revenge would
be implemented a thousand times through.
The tragic events that led to Rose meeting Felix
were similar to his. She was orphaned, with nothing from her childhood but a
large dog, Box. He was the only bond she had with her parents, and when the
orphanage denied Box, she decided she would rather risk her life than break the
chains to her past. He protected her, out living the average dog. But when she
found Felix, and found love, Rose was able to forget her past, she had someone
to protect her. He was no longer needed, and Box simply faded, with all the
anguish, all the sorrow, and tears of Rose’s and Felix’s past.
With their final kiss, she could hear Felix’s
thoughts, see their memories, she was filled with joy and was able to die with
a smile.
